CBSE Invites Teachers and School Heads to Join NISHTHA 2026-27 Cycle 1 Courses

CBSE has informed affiliated schools about enrolment in Cycle 1 of the NISHTHA online courses for the 2026-27 academic year. NISHTHA—the National Initiative for School Heads' and Teachers' Holistic Advancement—is a Ministry of Education programme designed to strengthen continuous professional development, modern teaching practice and the quality of classroom learning.

Cycle 1 schedule

CIET-NCERT is running the first cycle from April to October 2026. Enrolment closes on 31 August 2026, and the listed courses close on 15 September 2026.

Category II: Proficiency courses
  • NISHTHA FLN
  • NISHTHA ECCE

These courses are intended for school heads and teachers working at the Foundational and Preparatory stages, up to Grade 5.

Category III: Advanced courses
  • Cyber Hygiene Practices: Personal Digital Devices
  • Environmental Hazards of Electronic Waste (E-waste)
  • Action Research
  • Catch the Rain (English)
  • Catch the Rain (Hindi)

The advanced courses are open to all school heads and teachers.
